Letter to new & prospective students:

Dear Parents & Students,

It is my great pleasure & joy that I have the privilege to spend my life teaching music. It has been the most rewarding experience... Period!

Music is both art and skill, but perhaps the best way I have found to describe music is that music is a language. Through music we can communicate in ways impossible with words. The ability to use music to express our feelings & emotions is a wonderful gift to give to your children, and to yourself! I believe that this particular art of communication is essential to human life.

What is your teaching approach?

My teaching program is literacy-based with a strong emphasis on musical expression, reading comprehension, a solid theoretical foundation and proper technique development utilizing various standard method materials along with my own supplements and a wide variety of repertoire from classical to 20^th century. My goal is also to encourage and support creative freedom of expression and composition skills, and above all, to inspire a love and appreciation of all genres of music and of course, the piano as an instrument itself.
